The right contact depends on the custody event. The official Deaf Smith County Sheriff page does not publish jail hours, a records email, a request form, or a confirmed mailing address for release records. Call first rather than sending a request to an assumed address.

For a local release, ask the jail for the current public-information officer and accepted request method. For the court authority, use the appropriate clerk.

Use the District Clerk for felony and district-court records. Ask the County Clerk about the correct misdemeanor case-access method and current copy fees. Its listed land-record vendors are not a proven criminal-case search.

• For federal or immigration custody, use the responsible BOP, U.S. Marshals, federal court, or ICE channel rather than the county jail.
