Information You Choose to Send
Terms Entered in Search
When you type a name, place, or other term into a search tool, that query is transmitted to the third-party provider operating the tool. Deaf Smith County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Emails and Contact Messages
Information sent by email or through a contact form is retained as needed to read and answer the message. We do not share that correspondence outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical information when a page loads. The recorded details can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when provided
- Date and time stamps for requests
Cookies and Browser Controls
Cookies help measure how visitors move through the site. You can block or remove cookies through browser settings. Some functions may behave differently or become unavailable when cookies are disabled.
Reasons We Process Information
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable performance
- Send search requests to the selected partner service
- Understand which pages visitors find useful
- Detect and repair errors or other technical faults
- Present advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Privacy Beyond This Website
Links may lead to Deaf Smith release-record offices, the Sheriff, TDCJ, Texas IVSS, court portals, and outside search providers. Once you leave, the destination's own privacy policy controls its collection and use of information.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to observe activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on the partner's systems, not ours.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to the following recipients when needed for their stated role:
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure use
- Advertising networks serving or measuring ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Practical Limits
We use customary safeguards suited to the information and service. No website, transmission method, or internet-connected storage system is completely secure, however. We cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
This Service Is for Adults
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor submitted information, use the Get in Touch page so we can review and delete it.
